Where do I begin....What a book. I loved loved it! I don't usually read YA but this book had me. It was definitely an eye opener for me as a parent. I HOPE AND PRAY THIS HORRIBLE NONSENSE does not occur in my kids high school. The Sweet Sixteen ritual. Just sickening. This is why we we HAVE TO teach our daughters and sons to respect, to have morals, to treat EVERYONE with kindness, to NOT TEACH HATE in our homes, to have FAITH, to love, to tell our kids that they ARE WORTHY!!!!I hated Chase, and Jack Pearson and his minions were just evil, It took me a while to like Chase. I believe in forgiveness but still...he was unlike any other hero. I felt sorry for Michelle and all the other stupid girls who gave in and made the horrible mistake and be used by these horrible A HOLES. Michelle's story broke my heart and I just hope that Brenda decides to write her and Raj (my fave character besides Gin) love story. Oh Raj :( I am so sorry those a holes treated you that way. Just broke my heart. Every homophobic, every racist, every stereotype insult, JUST BROKE MY HEART. This book was so well written. I loved how Gin stood up for herself, for her friends, for strangers. How she respected herself thanks to her awesome mom. I loved how she ended up being heroine in the play, how Chase treated her and loved her after the pool scene, SO MANY REASONS I LOVED THIS BOOK!! PLEASE PLEASE BRENDA, write Michelle and Raj's story. and Lauren's as well. I loved her character as well! I will never forget this book!! Well written, flawless and incredible!!
