My first introduction to Carol Sloane's music with her deep, earthy voice, was at the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel in NYC. She also was a close friend of Hans Ryden, the Food and Beverage Director and the "voice" that always introduced the talent performing at the Algonquin's Cabaret. The selection of music on this CD is wonderful, easy listening and would highly recommend it. Besides her talent as a wonderful jazz singer, she is just as wonderful in person!
