I've been using these for years since first finding them in a local specialty pet shop but have found them to be about 20% less expensive on Amazon. These treats are loaded with fresh fish oil for the omega 3 and 6. You can actually squeeze them hard between your fingers and see the oil squeeze out. The treats come in a small bar form but can be easily broken into smaller pieces with your fingers. The ingredients are relatively simple with mostly salmon, a little brown rice, and salt, and a little vitamin supplementation. There are no artificial preservatives, just tocopherals which are a natural vitamin e based formula, and I have also found that the bags I get on Amazon are just as fresh as what my pet store has on the shelf, with usually at least a year or more until the expiration date . Because of the simple formula, i have found them to be a good treat even for dogs with allergies as the salmon and rice are usually not triggers but I'd check with your vet if you have severe problems. I probably would not use for a dog with kidney issues though as they are quite salty and you're usually trying to avoid that.Because of the high, albeit healthy, level of fat, I also have found that feeding a large amount during a training session can cause some softness of stool. Also, don't leave them in your pocket after training ! They do have a strong fish smell.
