My dog is a maniac when it comes to treats. He'll do anything, learn any trick, if it means he gets a treat. If he sees me putting on my sneakers, he knows I'm leaving the house even for a few seconds to bring in the trash can, and he'll go sit in his crate (he's extremely well trained) thinking that's where I want him to be when I leave the house, as when he was a puppy he was trained to go into his crate ( aka his safe space <3 ) and I'd close the door and he'd hang out in there until I got back. He also knows that if he goes into his crate without me asking, he's a Very Good Boy and deserves a small treat.Well, even though he still goes in the crate when I put on my sneakers, the door hasn't been closed in a few years since he was a puppy, so he still goes in and gets a small treat to reinforce his good behavior. Ever since he was a wee pup, I gave him Three Dog Bakery itty bitty bones, usually peanut butter flavored. He loves them. He gets one if he goes to his crate when he thinks I'm leaving, he gets one if he has a good #2 during his morning or evening walk (he actually will wait and expect the treat until he's given it, haha), and sometimes just because he's such a good boy he'll get one of these "just because", and even though he eats it quickly, he's absolutely happy to have it, and it makes it totally worthwhile. These come in a large bag and the treats easily last over two month in the treat container we put them in. They're best for small dogs, mine is barely 11lbs so it takes him a while to get through this large bag of treats. They stay reasonably fresh tasting if in a sealed container. While I've tried these treats myself (hey, they smell good), they're not very palatable for human consumption. I honestly don't see what my dog likes about them. I suppose if I was lost in the woods for days and I had a bag of these, I'd be okay with eating them to nourish me until I found civilization again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have them. There are many way more tasty treats on the market. But hey, my dog loves them, so there's that.My dog loves these. Who wouldn’t love peanut butter bones? I have been tempted to try them! These are the worst biscuits ever! They are so hard I can barely even break them in half. They're not that bitty either. I was expecting 'itty bitty' to be itty bitty but they're just bitty? They're big for a small dog They're bitty for maybe a St. Bernard or Greyhound, but not 12 & 20 lb dogs. I would normally break a biscuit this big into 6-10 pieces depending on how badly they crumble when broken The bigger dog will eat anything, but the littlest dog has a refined palette . He turned his nose up at them the first 3 times I offered them. Finally, on the 4th he tried to eat it but it was so hard he couldn't chew it & spit it back out. Since then he won't even look at them & I don't even try as I'm afraid he'd break a tooth they're that hard. The other guy eats them, but he's like Mikey, he'll eat anything & woofs his food down, so he probably doesn't even chew them. I meant to send them back but they wound up buried in a corner on the counter & I didn't realize it until it was too late. I don't know if I got an old batch that were stale, I know I wouldn't try eating them as I'd be afraid of breaking even my teeth on them! I received 2 bags of Three Dog Bakery Treats as gifts, shipped direct from Amazon, 1 of their Bitty Bites (the soft thick cookies & again, only bitty for a German Shepard, not a Beagle or Cocker Spaniel or smaller) & 1 of the "Assort-Mutt" cookies which were really big versions of the Bitty Bites. The Assort-Mutt bag was stale & I had to throw them out. The Bitty Bites were pretty good & both dogs liked them, though each one was equal to at least a dozen sized treats I would normally give them. My complaint about them, besides size, was how few chips were in the carob chip cookies & how few of those & the peanut butter cookies were in the bag. It's about 2/3 the plain vanilla. The Assort-Mutt had apple ones in them too but they were awful, most likely due to the whole bag being stale (even though the date was not expired). Having the Bitty Bites bag at the same time was how I could tell how bad the Assort-Mutt was because they were so much drier. There is one cookie by Three Dog that is fantastic, & that's the Mini Cremes. They're still not as mini as I'd like for my dogs, but I can break them into many pieces (as long as I don't mind getting cream all over my fingers). They're basically a mini oreo made from carob instead of chocolate and both love them. I even tried them they are delicious. I'm glad they came down in price so I can get them regularly now. So, in summary, if you're looking for Chihuahua sized cookies, none of these are it, but at least the Mini Cremes taste good & can be broken. The other cookies crumble and it's hit or miss on freshness. These "Itty Bitty Biscuits" besides only being 'small' not Itty Bitty, are hard as a rock & almost impossible to break. Your dogs teeth are more likely to be the ones that break. If you want an True xtra small biscuit - try The Dog Bakery's Mini Wheat Free Bones - Snickerdoodle is great or Zuke's Crunchy Naturals 2 Yogurt & Honey (flavors aren't great but these are Tiny, tiny treats). My guys eat the Snickerdoodle ones with relish, the Zuke's they'll eat, but they'd rather have something else. The Three Dog Bakery Itty Bitty Bones a Big Giant Pass! (But DO try their Mini Cremes for a sweet treat!)A mi perro le encanta y se pone muy contento cuando se lo doyBoth my dogs like them, pretty small but for the price they were was a good deal.My shiba loves it!!I asked my dog but he couldn’t answer because his mouth was chucked full when ever I did.I’d trust that he “loved” them!Update 2020: Still buying these cookies after 4 and a half years and still no issues. Sometimes the cookies look a little different, like maybe they are little smaller or flatter, but they are cookies that are made by humans and vary in size and shape. I noticed someone saying they are hard as a rock. The smaller/flatter ones are a bit harder due to variance in cooking temps/times, but I've never had an issue with them being hard as a rock. I am sure the company would replace them if this were an issue! Please reach out to them. The puffier cookies are the best... the dog chomps through those and I can easily crack them in half if I want to. I give one to my dog every time he poops. He loves them!Original review from 2016: My Chi-Pin loves these, and loves all cookies by this brand. They are made with human quality ingredients without strange fillers. Never had an issue with his tummy, so we're both happy. We buy both the peanut butter and cheddar flavour of these mini biscuits from Three Dog Bakery, and my four Chihuahuas all love them. They're a perfect size for a Chihuahua. I'm really picky about what my dogs eat, so I like that this has minimal ingredients and not loaded with chemical names you can't even pronounce. I also feed only treats made in Canada or the US, so this fits that bill as well. And the price for the amount you get is awesome.Great little treats for my dogs. I use them with my reactive dog on walks, to reward good behaviour, and just as an overall treat for both of them. Small enough to offer several through the day with feeding too many treats. I like the quality of Three Dog Bakery and am happy to get them online as the closest store to me that carries them closed. My labradoodle will eat any treat but not my goldendoodle...she’s like a fussy kid and spits out every cookie I’ve tried for the past 6 months. These cookies however she absolutely loves!! Finally something I can give them both! Going onto my monthly orders forsure!!I didn’t try them but my dog loves them. She is part beagle so I use them for “scent entertainment” and hide them for her to sniff out. They are small enough and easy to break in half for training treats too.My dogs love these treats. They are very picky with their treats but they love the taste of them. They are small enough to give to any size dog. They are good treats for training because they are not too big. I have ordered many treats from three dog bakery and I am always impressed with the quality.
