These are lifesavers!! I can give my dogs ANYTHING in these and they'll eat it!I have one dog on 2 heart medications, twice a day. Giving him the pills was difficult. I tried different snacks and he always located the pills and spit them out. As a matter of fact, I started ordering "medical soft chews" from a pharmacy that was charging me $164 per month for both medications (single doses), and my dog hated them! I still had to hide those in a snack, or force him to take them by dropping them deep down his mouth/throat (recommended by the vet), which I hated doing. Such an awful experience for him. So I decided to go back to the pills (which really only cost $16 per month for both meds, each pill works for 2 - 4 doses (SO MUCH CHEAPER), and just find another snack in which to wrap the pill, saving a LOT of money.I did some research, but was not looking forward to having to test/try a bunch of other options. Also spoke to the vet and she recommended these.When I initially got these, I didn't like them because they were so large. They also felt strange since they were so soft (consistency feels like PlayDoh, but even a bit softer), I was worried my little chihuahua would choke on it, since he's big on just swallowing things and not chewing them as much. Then I realized that being so soft was actually a good thing, because they're so malleable and can be shaped or formed any way you want. Now, I take one pill pocket and break it apart into pieces. I flatten a piece out and wrap it around the pill, which my dog gobbles right up! By doing this, not only does my dog easily and happily take his meds, but one pill pocket can literally last like 4 or 5 separate/different doses! However, my other dogs beg for it too, so I just share the pieces amongst all 3 dogs.Now that I figured this out, I give them various different things wrapped with this, like joint chews (which they do NOT like), or flea meds, or anything else they need to take. It makes it SUPER easy. One of my dogs will eat anything, one dog eats most things, and one dog won't touch anything healthy! But with these, all the dogs eat all of their meds/supplements/ ANYTHING. lolSo far, I've only used the Hickory Smoke flavor, but they love it, so I haven't tried the others. The only thing I would suggest, is using these only when necessary, just so your dogs don't grow bored of them, which ensures they always want to eat them. Leave them wanting more! lolAnyway, super happy with these! Game changers!My cavvie was recently diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur and started Vetmedin (Pimobendan). She'll need them twice a day. She hates pills. I have to give her medicine through an oral syringe & medicine dropper, or try and trick her somehow, which fails most of the time. I've tried all types of cheese, American cheese, cream cheese. Finally...I decided to try this. Who knew she would be a sucker for the Hickory Smoke Flavor!!!! She's tried it once and didn't put up a fight at all. Tomorrow we're trying the cheese, then exploring the other flavors...wish us luck!!!! It's hella hot here so i'm not surprised they came a little stuck together, but nothing a few hours in the fridge won't fix. =)I was at my local Walmart last week and saw that these had gone up to 10 bucks for 30. They had been 7-8 dollars.I ordered on Amazon 60 pack on a Thursday night and they arrived Saturday. Of course, it's the middle of summer, so I retrieved them from my mailbox as soon as I saw they had been delivered, especially after reading some reviews that said their order arrived smashed. I opened the package and they were fine. I got them inside, and a few days later, they're still soft and moist (exact same as off the shelf at Walmart), and my dogs can't wait for them each morning.Will keep ordering these on Amazon as long as the quality stays the same!They are very easy to use, convenient. I don't mind the smell of the beef and chicken but the peanut butter, which I expected to be amazing, smelled terrible.Been using these for years with my dogs. Cannot beat this product unless you are using cheeseOur dog developed epilepsy a few months ago and has to take 2 large pill 2X a day and these make it so easyDog seems to love them, easy to give him medicine. Wish they made a smaller treat to hold 1 small pill.Great productBit overpriced for what they are but the dogs salivate over them. Pity I cant get them in Ireland.
