I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading this book and it is a book I would absolutely allow my granddaughters to read.Genuine Sweet is a nice young southern girl living a hard life. She learns that she has the magical power of granting wishes and proceeds to use that power to help people. The only problem is, she can't use it to help herself. This book, narrated by Genuine, takes you along on her journey to learn what she can do with her gift and any repercussion therein. It's a sweet story that had me interested from beginning to end.Character development was very good. Genuine is a very likeable character who didn't come across as pretentious at all. The world building was also very well done. I felt like I was strolling through the little town of Sass and getting to know the town and the people. Just a very sweet story. The author did a great job weaving the story and making it believable.
